Comprehensive Planning
00012863The core of good financial planning is a comprehensive assessment of your entire financial situation and an integrated plan set up to accomplish your goals. Comprehensive plans intensively review all of the key areas of financial planning: cash management, risk management, taxation, financial independence, investments, and estate planning. The result is a plan tailored to your unique financial picture. The fee is based on our flat financial planning case fee, and will be adjusted up or down according to the complexity of your situation.

Portfolio Management
We can analyze and re-build an existing portfolio, or help you to invest "from scratch." We use a combination of open and closed end mutual funds, individual bonds, and other investment options to implement your plan.

The key to your portfolio design is your unique set of financial goals. Portfolios are designed to meet these goals through the use of asset allocation to create a portfolio that gives you the best possible return for the amount of risk you can accept. Your portfolio succeeds for you when it contributes to the achievement of your financial goals - our primary objective is to help you meet these goals, not to create maximum returns. And these returns are achieved through a buy and hold philosophy, rather than chasing after trading profits.

Hourly Planning

For less than comprehensive work, planning fees are based on our hourly rate. Together we will review your needs, and the complexity of the work to be done, and come up with a project estimate. The resulting scope of the work can range from an hour or two of focused work on a single issue, or a broader look at several issues - for example, a thorough pre-retirement financial review - but will cover considerably less ground than a comprehensive plan.

Please be sure to read the owners manual (for clients of Focused Finances) which gives you a detailed description of the financial planning process, what you can expect from this process, and the mutual duties and agreements of both the advisor and the client that are involved.  This can be found in the Resources section of the site, under Client Forms and Fee Information.  This section also contains the most current fee information for financial planning and investment management services.
